Every aspect of the Bay Arena in Bay Roberts was alive on March 30.

From the parking lot teeming with cars, trucks and sport-utility vehicles to the impressive hospitality room, the stadium was in full swing because of the Bay Arena minor’s annual squirt jamboree.

Ten teams from across the Avalon converged on the community for good hockey and spirited camaraderie.

For the better part of the day, squirts buzzed around the ice. Some of them were after the puck  while others seemed more concerned with having a chat with their best buddies.

No matter the participation level, all players went away with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

The Compass was there and captured these shots.
