The final schedule for the series was only officially announced Monday as the Admirals had to do some work to secure a Saturday, May 10 start for Game 3, which they did. ... The Admirals and IceCaps faced each other in the 2012 AHL Eastern Conference final, won by the Admirals in four games. However, at that time, Norfolk was the affiliate of the NHL’s Tampa Bay Lightning. … The Admirals had the AHL’s best penalty-kill success rate in the regular season. … IceCaps’ defenceman Julian Melchiori, who hasn’t played since April 12 because of injury, will not be available tonight. … St. John’s rookie forward Adam Lowry has been sidelined because of the flu, but did practice Monday. He is listed as day-to-day. ... The AHL board of governors has approved relocation of the Calgary Flames AHL affiliate from Abbotsford, B.C. to Glens Falls, N.Y. , beginning next season. Glens Falls had been home to the Adirondack Phantoms, the Philadelphia Flyers' farm team the last five years, but the Phantoms are moving to Allentown, Pa.
