The award is presented in honour of the late Wesley Gosse, who was a founding board member with the Bay Arena Association, and the first president of Bay Arena minor hockey.

Gosse’s legacy in both education and minor hockey circles in the region is very pronounced.

The award is presented to a midget player that demonstrates hard work, sportsmanship and an overall love of hockey.

Keeping enjoyed tremendous success and earned deep respect throughout her minor hockey career, and held her own at the highest levels against her male teammates and opponents.

Taking part in the presentation were longtime coach and a protégé of Gosse, Ron Noseworthy (left), Gosse’s widow, Berdina Gosse, and Bay Arena Association president Ed Neil (right).
