Films On The Go in Cupids

A selection of short films will be screened at the Cupids Legacy Centre Wednesday, July 18 starting at 7:30 p.m. $7 admission. A project of the St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival.

Bay Roberts Bazaar

The Bay Roberts Cultural Foundation will host the Bazaar at the Bay Arena July 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Arts, crafts, books, baked goods, toys, bath and beauty products and more will be made available by over 70 vendors. As well, hot dogs, homemade soup and freshly cooked toutons will be available. Byron Hierlihy will be on site offering pony rides for the kids. 50/50 tickets and tickets on a donated product will also be on sale. Admission is $3. Old-Time Country Music

The Bay Roberts Lions Club is hosting an old time country music-bluegrass open mic session on the fourth Sunday of every month. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the show starts at 2 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge at the door and cafeteria service is available. Musicians are encouraged to bring along an instrument and participate in the entertainment or just sit and tap your feet to the sound of some of your favorite country songs. Hope to see you there.

Meets every Tuesday 7:30 p.m. at the U-Turn Addictions Centre in Carbonear, at 46 Powell Drive. A 12-step recovery program for relatives and friends of alcoholics.

NAR-ANON

The Trinity Conception NAR-ANON Family Group offers a 12-step program designed to help relatives and friends of addicts recover from the effects of their addiction. We always maintain personal anonymity. Meetings Wednesday nights, 7:30-8:30 p.m. at the U-Turn Addictions Centre, 46 Powell Drive, in Carbonear. For information, call 786-1797 after 5 p.m.
