Kiwanis Golf Tournament
The 6th annual Kiwanis Golf Tournament takes place Sept. 10 at The Wilds on Salmonier Line. Supporting the Kids East Smart Foundation. $500 for a team of four with cart, includes hole sponsor. $100 for hole sponsor only. Old-Time Country Music
The Bay Roberts Lions Club is hosting an old time country music-bluegrass open mic session on the fourth Sunday of every month. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the show starts at 2 p.m. There is a $5 cover charge at the door and cafeteria service is available. Musicians are encouraged to bring along an instrument and participate in the entertainment or just sit and tap your feet to the sound of some of your favorite country songs. Hope to see you there.

The Bay Roberts Cultural Foundation and the Madrock Theatre Troupe will be staging ‘How’s About a Time – a Night of Newfoundland Humour’, at the SUF Lodge #82, located on Patterson Street, Bay Roberts (adjacent to the Bay Roberts Fire Hall) on Tuesday nights until August 21.
