TRINITY-CONCEPTION, NL — RCMP detachments serving the Trinity-Conception region are once again lighting up Christmas trees for a good cause.

The annual Wish Tree campaign was started in 1991 to raise funds for the Children's Wish Foundation. This year, detachments in Bay Roberts and Harbour Grace are once again pitching.

The Bay Roberts detachment held its official lighting ceremony Nov 26, with Harbour Grace doing the same two days later. White bulbs on the trees will be changed to green ones with a $10 donation and red with each $15 donation received during the campaign.

People wishing to make donations can drop them off at either detachment. RCMP will continue to accept donations until Christmas Eve.
