Loon Bay Camp

 

Gospel – Concert – Variety

June 6 – There will be a Gospel – Concert – Variety at the Loon Bay United Church Camping Centre at 7 p.m. Performers include the Baytona Guitar Group, Verna and Gary Adams, Gordon Kelly and some local talent. Music, entertainment and fun for all. Benefit concert to raise funds for Youth Camps. Serving free coffee, tea and sandwiches.

Registration

The Loon Bay United Church Camping Centre is now accepting registration for Summer Youth Camps. All denominations are welcome to apply for Youth Camp. Camps are four days starting July 6 – Aug. 14. Youth ages (7-9), (10-12) and (13-16). Cost includes accommodations, meals and lots of fun. To get further information or to receive a registration form, you may contact any United Church nearest you or email Catherine Lewis at loonbaycamp@outlook.com.

 

LEWISPORTE

 

Community Garden

The Town of Lewisporte and the Environmental and Beautification Committee are working together to get a start on the community garden in Lewisporte. The garden is located on Alder Road. It is in phase one of construction but applications are now available at the town office for anyone who would like to obtain a plot for planting. The plots will be free of charge and applications will be reviewed as they are received.

 

Children’s Wish

June 13 – Please reserve date for Children’s Wish Foundation Yard Sale at the Lion’s Centre.

Nov. 14 – Please reserve for the UCW Fall Bazaar at St. Matthew’s United Church.

Annual General Meeting

June 23 – The members of the Gander Status of Women Council please be advised of our Annual General Meeting of the Gander Status of Women Council from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Gander Women’s Centre, 61 Elizabeth Drive, Polaris Building.
