Carbonear Legion AGM

Newfoundland and Labrador Laubach Literacy Council is offering an opportunity to improve reading, speaking and comprehension (in English) in a confidential and convenient way from home for FREE using the TOTI Virtual Teaching program! On Monday evenings from 7-8:45 p.m., Chase the Ace will be held at the Bay Roberts Legion. The ticket draw is scheduled for 9 p.m. The escalating jackpot is now exceeding $9,500. New Hope Al-ANON

The New Hope AL-ANON group meets Tuesday 7:30 p.m. at the U-Turn Addictions Centre in Carbonear, located at 46 Powell Drive. A 12-step recovery program for relatives and friends of alcoholics.

NAR-ANON

The Trinity Conception NAR-ANON Family Group offers a 12-step program designed to help relatives and friends of addicts recover from the effects of their addiction.

We always maintain personal anonymity. Meetings are held Wednesday nights from 7:30-8:30 p.m. at the U-Turn Addictions Centre, 46 Powell Drive, in Carbonear. For more information, call 786-1797 after 5 p.m.

Museum and gallery

The Road to Yesterday Museum and the Christopher Pratt Gallery in the Cable Building, Water Street, Bay Roberts are on the Fall-Winter schedule open 2-4 p.m. Wednesdays only. Special tours can be arranged by appointment and payment of the prescribed fee.
