People in Newfoundland and Labrador dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) will have an opportunity to tell their stories this summer.
According to a video posted on the PTSD Buddies YouTube channel, Jamie MacWhirter, founder of the Newfoundland-based support group, is partnering with Vince Savoia of the Tema Conter Memorial Trust and Raid Byrne from Spartan Wellness.
The trio will be travelling around the province in hopes of meeting as many people who are affected by the PTSD as they can.
While they hope to meet up with first responders, MacWhirter said they want to speak with anyone dealing with the disorder.
“We want to meet you, we want to hear your stories and have little interviews with you,” he said in the video.
MacWhirter said the interviews will be broadcast live on the group’s YouTube channel.
