Freezing drizzle dampens much of Newfoundland

Freezing drizzle warnings or advisories are in place this morning for many parts of the province.

But in St. John's and vicinity the soaking will be replaced by 10 C temperatures later on today.

Areas of freezing drizzle are expected to taper to a chance of showers or drizzle later this morning as temperatures rise above freezing.

Easter weekend in St. John's will start with 5 C and a combination of sun and cloud while Saturday will be cloudy and 2 C. Sunday will be 6 C with sun and cloud.

Freezing drizzle warnings are in effect this morning for Bay of Exploits, Buchans and the interior, Corner Brook, Deer Lake-Humber Valley, Grand Falls-Windsor, Green Bay-White Bay, Gros Morne and Parson's Pond-Hawke's Bay.

Advisories are in effect for the Avalon Peninsula North, Bonavista North, Bonavista Peninsula, Clarenville, Gander, St. John's and Terra Nova.
