Drug bust, arrest in Carbonear

A drug bust in Carbonear last night (Jan. 13) has led to the arrest of a 33-year-old male resident of the town.

Just after 10 p.m. the Trinity Conception RCMP stopped a Jeep Liberty on Patrick Street, which lead to the arrest of Christopher William King and a seizure of drugs.

Included in the seizure were 100 Oxycodone pills, some Percocets, four grams of Cannabis Resin (Hash) and 27 grams of Cocaine.

He appeared in Harbour Grace Provincial Court today, facing three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession.

King was released on a recognizance to reappear in Harbour Grace court Feb. 5 at 9:30 a.m.
