The RCMP is investigating a complaint of a break and enter that took place at a cabin in Northern Bay between March 31 and April 4.

Several items were reported stolen, including various tools, solid pine doors, windows and a panel box. The cabin owner has not yet submitted a comprehensive list, so an approximate value is unknown. The cabin was undergoing renovations at that time.

Officers confirm the cabin was locked prior to being entered.

No suspects have been identified in the incident.

Meanwhile, two other break and enters took place overnight on April 7 in Carbonear.

One incident on Pike’s Lane involved an unknown suspect entering an unlocked vehicle. They were scared off, and fled empty handed.

Officers are asking people to lock their car doors and not keep valuables inside.

In the other incident, a chainsaw was taken from a garage, also in Carbonear. The exact location was not immediately available.

The RCMP are asking anyone who may have seen anything out of the ordinary in any of these incidents to contact the Trinity Conception detachment of the RCMP at 596-5014 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
