Police investigating South River armed robbery

The Trinity Conception RCMP are investigating an armed robbery at a South River business over the weekend.

On May 16, police responded to a call at Marshall’s Fish Market on Route 70 in the community shortly after 11 p.m.

Patrol officers and a police canine unit were called to the scene. After an investigation, it was determined two masked men had entered Marshall’s and confronted the store clerk. No one was injured in the incident.

The thieves made off with a quantity of cash and cigarettes.

Police describe both suspects as male and standing 5’5” with slim builds.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing. Police have not identified the type of weapon used in the crime.
