Police make arrest in conncetion to Carbonear break-ins

The Trinity Conception RCMP have made an arrest in connection with the recent break and enters in Carbonear.

On May 27, police apprehended a 26-year-old male after an investigation that lasted for several weeks.

Charges have not been formally laid and he has not been identified.

The male has been released from custody with promise to appear at provincial court in Harbour Grace in July. Then he will face four charges of possession of property obtained by crime under section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.

He will also face a charge of possession of cannabis marijuana under Section 4(1) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, which was seized at the time of his arrest.

A quantity of of the stolen property has been recovered.
