HARBOUR GRACE, NL — Harbour Grace RCMP recently arrested a man accused of trying to illegally sell shotguns and rifles.
Karl Christopher Pye, 51, is facing 14 counts of possessing weapons for the purpose of trafficking and 12 counts of unauthorized possession of firearms. According to a court document, those weapons include eight shotguns, four rifles and two sets of ammunition. In the case of all 12 guns, police allege Pye, who lives in Harbour Grace, was not licensed to possess them.
Following a pair of court appearances, Pye was released on a recognizance Monday, May 14. He’s due back in Harbour Grace Provincial Court June 20.
