It’s been less than a month since King, who is from Bay Roberts, was released on recognizance.
The other man charged in relation to the death is 29-year-old Stephen Ryan Mercer.
On July 7, the pair was allegedly engaged in an illegal street race while travelling along the New Harbour Barrens. They face identical charges of criminal negligence in the operation of a motor vehicle causing death, criminal negligence in the operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, street racing causing death, street racing causing bodily harm and breach of probation.
King was driving the second vehicle involved in the collision that took life of Hannah Thorne. Her grandmother was also injured in the crash.
