NORTH RIVER, NL — The family of a woman killed earlier this month in a head-on collision on Veterans Memorial Highway has established a memorial fund for her children.

Tanya Puddister, who was from Cupids, died Oct. 6 following an accident involving three vehicles near the North River exit. She was 42. A funeral for Puddister took place last Friday in Brigus.

Puddister was the mother of boy-girl twins. Those wishing to contribute to the memorial fund can write a cheque payable to Tanya Puddister Memorial Fund and mail it to 70 Fleming St., St. John's, NL, A1C 3A5.

The accident that claimed Puddister's life was the second fatal collision on Veterans Memorial Highway in less than a month. On Sept. 11, three people were killed in another head-on collision, this one between the Makinsons and Roaches Line exits.
