Hit-and-run driver removes licence plate, flees scene


The Royal Newfoundland constabulary is investigating a two-vehicle hit-and-run collision at the intersection of Byron Street and Whiteway Street in St. John's this morning.

The two vehicles collided in the middle of the intersection. The driver of one vehicle fled the scene after reportedly removing the licence plate from the rear of the vehicle.

One person received minor injuries as a result of the accident. Police are still actively looking for the driver who fled the scene.
