Surrounded by his loving wife, sons and family, Bill passed away at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston on March 29, 2018 at the age of 63 having succumbed to mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer. While his wife, Judy, sons, Neil and Aaron, and family have heavy hearts, they are so proud that he never gave up and fought the disease to the very end. Bill, originally from Saint John, NB, was born on December 17, 1954 and is the son of the late William and Elizabeth Morrow. Upon graduation from law school, he moved to St. John’s, NL in 1980, was called to the Bar in 1981, and married Judy in 1987. In 1989, Bill and Judy founded the law firm now known as Morrow, Morrow & Crosbie located in Bay Roberts and Carbonear. Bill also devoted time to various community groups, local sporting events and political causes, most notably as Chair of the Avalon Healthcare Institutions Board for 10 years. Bill is survived by his loving wife, soulmate and law partner, Judy, his sons, Neil and Aaron, brother, Peter Palmer (Holly), sisters, Rizpah Morrow and Mary-Ellen Costello (Michael), mother-in-law, Huldah Neil, Aunt Rizpah Linton, sisters-in-law, Shirley Penney (Henry), Evelyn Dupuis (Reginald), Olive Noseworthy (David) and Marlene Hanlon (Brian), brother-in-law Clyde Hussey (Beverley), close family friend Annie Dawe (Alex), numerous nieces, nephews and other family members, and friends. He will also be fondly remembered by his colleagues and the Morrow, Morrow & Crosbie work family. Bill was predeceased by his parents, William and Elizabeth Morrow, father-in-law, Ralph Neil, Uncle Frank Linton, brother-in-law, Napoleon Dupuis, sister-in-law, Bethena Palmer, and niece, Michele Palmer. The family would like to thank Dr. Stewart Rorke and the staff of the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre in St. John’s, Dr. Raphael Bueno and Dr. Mark Awad of the International Mesothelioma Program and the staffs at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Dr. Jason Efford of the Spaniard’s Bay Medical Centre, and Dr. Crispin Russell and the staff at the St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in St. John’s. Memorial Service will be held at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Bay Roberts, NL at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. Arrangements are being made by Moores Funeral Home in Bay Roberts, NL. There will be no visitation; however, Judy, Neil, Aaron and the rest of the family will receive condolences at the back of the church following the Memorial Service. There will be a private burial at a later date. Donations can be made on Bill’s behalf to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation or the Trinity Conception Placentia Health Foundation.
