Softballers from all over the Trinity-Conception-Placentia region showed off their skills at the provincial under-12 slo pitch softball tournament held at the Carbonear Recreation Complex July 25-27.

Teams based in Butlerville, Carbonear, Western Bay and Placentia, along with three other teams battled for the right to call themselves provincial champions.

The action was exciting as players showcased all of their talents. There were highlight reel grabs and profressional-level hitting on display for the fans in attendance.

In the championship game, Carbonear 1 stormed back from a 9-1 deficit to wrestle the title from the hands of Conception Bay South with a 14-12 victory.
