Carbonear, Placentia residents earn awards at Softball NL AGM

MOUNT PEARL — At this year’s Softball NL Annual General Meeting, two Trinity-Conception-Placentia residents went home with awards in hand.

Carolyn Ryan of Carbonear was presented with the Umpire of the Year award, and Liam Shea of Placentia received Minor Male Player of the Year 2016 honours.

In 2016, Shea was named playoff most valuable player for Team NL during the Eastern Canadian Championships, and was also awarded the tournament’s top hitter.

The Softball NL AGM was held on Saturday morning, May 6th, in Mount Pearl.
