The Dallas Cowboys need a win in Week 10. Last week they failed to take advantage of several last-minute mistakes by the Philadelphia Eagles and it cost them a big NFC East victory, making their road to the playoffs that much harder.

It shouldn’t be difficult for the Cowboys to play the 2-7 New York Giants on Sunday, an NFC East team that somehow seems to find new ways to get worse week after week. With quarterback Daniel Jones out for the season with an ACL tear, the Giants are turning to undrafted rookie Tommy DeVito, the only No. 2 QB because Tyrod Taylor is out with a rib injury.

DeVito made just two starts and completed 17 of 27 throws for 174 yards, so the Giants went out and got him the perfect backup: NFL veteran Matt Barkley. If DeVito gets into trouble, expect Barkley to step out to bail him out.

If the Cowboys are still worried about last week’s loss to the Eagles, they won’t be worried about the quarterback they’re facing. They would be willing to eat them both alive.
