Canadian Rocker Sass Jordan will play Club One in St John’s Dec. 8.
Born in Birmingham, Eng., and raised in Montreal, Jordan started her career playing bass and singing lead with late '70s Montreal new wave quartet “The Pinups.”
She embarked on a solo career in the mid-'80s and has written and recorded with some of music's biggest names, including producers Eddie Kramer (Jimi Hendrix) Don Was, Carlos Santana, Colin Linden (The Band), Audley Freed (Black Crowes) Tommy Shaw (Styx), Joe Cocker, Ed and Alex Van Halen, and Ken Koomer (Wilco) and shared the stage with bands like The Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, AC/DC and others.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the release of Jordan’s album “Racine” which spawned such hits as “ “You Don’t Have To Remind Me” and “Who Do You Think You Are.”
